Harvey Jones, 86, of Tampa, FL passed away on June 19, 2024. His prayers were answered as he reunites with his beloved wife of 65 years, Margaret Belle (Sloan), who passed away March 8, 2023, at 84 years old.
Both Harvey and Margie, "Peggy to some" raised their family in Weirton, WV. Harv, like many in Weirton, worked long hours in the Weirton Steel Mill and Margie worked several years at Fisher Big Wheel, with a side hustle bartending at the Moose Club.
They are sadly missed by their daughter, Terry Kelly (Frank); their sons. Richard (Judy) of New Castle, PA, Mark (Debbie) of Tampa, FL and Larry (Debbie) of Creedmore, NC. They are also blessed to be grandparents and great-grandparents as their memories carry on through generations.
Margie enjoyed her card club ladies, cooking and baking for her family.
Harvey was a car and motorcycle enthusiast, as well as being a very likable guy with a sharp-witted sense of humor. They both enjoyed watching Pittsburgh Steelers, Pirates and Penguins as well as WVU sports.
With Harv in control of the remote, you would find yourself watching several sports at one time with an old Western movie thrown in there, possibly missing the play of the game. Although they are deeply missed by all, we cherish the memories in our hearts and know they rest in the Father's Heavenly Home together.
