ROBERT EWING

He was born in Steubenville on October 20, 1931, a son of the late John Jacob and Pearl V. Call Ewing. He was retired from Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel Corp. and served in the Navy.

In addition to his parents, Bob was preceded in death by his wife of 69 years, Janet E. Spurrier Ewing; son Robert E. Ewing, Jr.; two brothers and four sisters.

Bob was an avid Steubenville Big Red and OSU fan.

For many years, he coached Wintersville Little League and Girls Softball.

Bob is survived by his two sons Robbie “Moe” (Tammy) Ewing and Randy (Carla) Ewing; grandchildren Josh Ewing, Bobbie Jo Kless, Courtney Ewing, Kasey Brown and Rachel Ewing; eight great grandchildren and one great great grandson.

Friends may call at Dunlope-Shorac Funeral Home, 215 Fernwood Road, Wintersville, on Tuesday 3-6 p.m., where services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday. Burial at Unionport Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to Shriners Hospital.
