SAMUEL MOORE, SR.

Samuel W. Moore Sr., 87, of New Cumberland, WV, passed away June 26,2024.

Born April 3, 1937,in New Cumberland, the son of the late James and Myrtle (Brown) Moore.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Vonda (McAbee) Moore; a daughter, Elaine McClure; a son, James Moore; two grandsons; a brother, James Moore and two sisters, Ernestine Sprouse and Mary Jane Moore.

Surviving are four sons, Samuel W. Moore Jr. (Tammy Wade) of New Cumberland; John (Carla) Moore of New Cumberland Ronald (Rebecca) Moore of New Cumberland, George Moore of Glenmoore, Oh; a daughter, Kay (John) Greynolds of New Cumberland; 18 grandchildren and 30 great grandchildren; three sisters, Myrtle Chupa of Weirton, Betty (John) Ashcraft of New Cumberland and Nancy Shields of New Cumberland.

Visitation will be held on Monday, July 1, from 5-7pm and Tuesday, 1-3 and 5-7pm, at the Nixon Funeral Home, New Cumberland, WV, where services will be held at 11am on Wednesday, July 3, 2024.

Interment will follow in New Cumberland Cemetery.
