JOYCE WILLIAMS

She was born in Wheeling, WV, March 29, 1947, a daughter of the late Mabel (Luckett) Richmond and James Pettit. Her greatest joy in life was spending cherished moments with her grandchildren. In her free time Joyce enjoyed to crochet.

In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her loving husband, Allan Williams, Sr.; a grandson, Sgt. Richard A. “Ricky” Williams; step-father, John Richmond and a step-mother, Grace “Peggy” Pettit.

Joyce is survived by her children, Allan W. (Bobbie Jo) Williams, Jr. of Wintersville, OH, Daniel T. Williams of Moundsville and Holli L. Williams of Moundsville; her beloved grandchildren, Kaylee (Michael Butler) Williams, D.J. Williams, Allie Williams and Lonnie Bekcer; one great- grandson, Brantley and a great-granddaughter on the way; several brothers and sisters, nieces, nephews, great- nieces and great- nephews.

Family and friends will be received Monday, July 15, 2024 from 5 – 8 pm and Tuesday, July 16, from 2-4 and 6-8 pm at Altmeyer Funeral Homes, Lutes & Kirby-Vance Chapel, 118 Grant Ave., where funeral services will be held Wednesday, July 17 at 12 pm. Interment will follow at Riverview Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society or the American Heart Association in C/O www.tmc funding.com.
