WILLIAM HALL

William Joseph "Bill" Minch Hall, 70, of Wintersville, Ohio passed away Friday, July 26, 2024 at Trinity West.

He was born on June 24, 1954 in Moundsville, WV, the son of the late Alfred F. Minch and the late Helen Current Hall. He was preceded in death by his stepfather, Kenneth Hall, and stepmother, Audrey Minch.

Bill made a career of serving in the U.S. Navy, retiring as Chief Petty Officer E7, with the title of MAC Hall, which stands for Master at Arms Bill Hall. He was also enlisted surface qualified (ESWS) from his time on the USS Missouri, recommissioning the ship and putting it in service. Bill was a battlefield sailor having served on the USS New Jersey and the USS Missouri.

Bill was a lifetime member of Wintersville American Legion Post 557 and VFW Post 6012; Somerset Texas Masonic Lodge 1205 and Jefferson County Sportsmans.

Bill is survived by his sisters, Rosemary Minch (Jeff), Recheal Fuscardo (Steven) and Roberta West; brother, Stanley Minch (Lindsey); children Amanda and Zeke Hall; aunt, Joyce Current; best buddy and canine companion, Westley; numerous nieces and nephews.

Friends may call at Dunlope-Shorac Funeral Home, 215 Fernwood Road, Wintersville, on Tuesday from 10 a.m. until the time of services at noon with Rev. William Westling officiating. Entombment at Fort Steuben.
