DARLENE GILCHRIST
Darlene Yvonne Walden Gilchrist, 64 of Wellsburg, WV passed away on Monday, August 5, 2024, at UPMC Mercy, Pittsburgh, PA with her family by her side.
She was born September 21, 1959, in Wheeling, WV, the daughter of the late Calvin Earl and Mona Faye Hayes Walden.
She was also preceded in death by her brother-in-law Leroy Henthorn.
Darlene loved spending time with her family and friends. She enjoyed scrapbooking and making a variety of crafts and especially loved listening to music.
Darlene is survived by her son Jonathan Gilchrist (Nicole) and her granddaughter Oaklynn Gilchrist, of Alliance, OH.
She is also survived by her sisters Janette Henthorn, Michele (Chuck) Scott of Wellsburg, WV, and Lisa (Tom) McCoy of Massillon, OH, brother Calvin “Jeff” Walden and his companion Cynthia Kutcher, also of Wellsburg, WV. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
Family and friends will be received Friday, August 9, 2024, from 6p.m.-8p.m. at Reasner Funeral Home 1515 Charles St. Wellsburg, WV, and again Saturday, August 10, 2024, until the time of service at 11 a.m. at the funeral home with Pastor Jim Seabright officiating.
Interment will follow at Franklin Cemetery, Wellsburg, WV
