DWAINE SWICKARD

Dwaine was born on Feb. 16, 1950, in Irondale, OH son of the late Warner M. and Naomi (Householder) Swickard.

Dwaine was retired from the U.S. Postal Service, where he worked as a mail carrier for 40 years. He was a member of the Toronto Masonic Lodge #583 F&AM.

Dwaine loved traveling the world. His final journey led him to Hawaii with his dearest friends Lilli and her husband James Bales and family. Dwaine never met a stranger. He was an amazing, fun, loving brother, and he will be greatly missed.

In addition to his parents, Dwain was preceded in death by his stepmother Marge (McClain) Swickard, and his brother Ronald D. Swickard, stepbrother Scott McClain and five uncles and four aunts.

Surviving is his sister Lois (Paul) Spence of Toronto, OH, and two brothers, Larry (Rita) Swickard of Toronto and John (Betty) Swickard of Stratton; Aunt Jean Swickard of Toronto and adopted sister Lillie (James) Bale and family of Wadsworth, OH, and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Visitation is Friday Aug. 16, 2024, from 11 am to 1 pm at the J.E. Foster Funeral Home in Toronto. A Masonic Service will take place at 12:30 pm followed by the funeral service at 1 pm. Rev. Kevin Rinkes will officiate, with burial in the New Somerset Christian Church Cemetery. www.jefosterfh.com
