LOUIS PETROZZI

Louis Gary Petrozzi, 71 of Manning SC went home to be with the Lord Monday morning surrounded by his family.

Lou is preceded in death by his parents Louis Carl Petrozzi and Mary Josephine Vallera Petrozzi.

Over his 71 years here on earth Lou lived a life full of love and laughter. A man of few words, but a lot of heart. He gave 100 percent to everything he did!

Lou was a 1971 graduate of Catholic Central High School. After graduating he began work at Weirton Steel where he spent the next 31 years as a carpenter.

Lou was married to the love of his life Charlene Jarvis Petrozzi, daughter of the late Harry and Marguerite Jarvis, for 47 years. Together they raised three children; Renee (Daniel) Decker, Katelyn (Anthony) Esposito, and Vincent (Megan) Petrozzi. He was also a loving brother to Josephine Reno and James (Sandra) Petrozzi and a loving brother-in-law to Robert (Kimberly) Jarvis.

He was a talented carpenter and businessman, and after his time at Weirton Steel, he owned and operated his company, Eagle Eye Home Inspections, for ten years.

He loved the area where he grew up and was a passionate football fan for The Ohio State and Pittsburgh Steelers. Lou relocated to Manning, SC for his job with the WODA group. There he quickly embraced the life of a Southerner. He enjoyed the year-round pleasures that the weather of the south allows, particularly; golfing, boating, and fishing.

His greatest loves were for the Lord and his family. Lou was never ashamed to share the gospel, whether through conversation or song. He was a current member of Emmanuel Baptist Church in Manning, SC. The love and legacy he left his three children; Renee, Katelyn and Vince and his 12 grandchildren; Lillian, Kolton and Cora Decker, Ava, Elyn and Gianna Esposito and Jacob, Abigail, Kinsley, Levi, Xavier, and Gracie will echo for generations.

The family would like to extend our deepest thanks and appreciation to Pam of Cresent Hospice, as well as to Lou’s extraordinary medical care providers at MUSC during his courageous battle with Malignant Mesothelioma.
