Robert R. Whitmore ("Pap") began his next adventure with his loving wife in Heaven on Tuesday, August 20, at the age of 80.
Bob was born to Robert D. and Evelyn (Flitcroft) Whitmore on April 23, 1944.
He married his high school sweetheart, Linda Rae Burch on June 13, 1964. They spent 58 wonderful, joy filled years together. During the Vietnam War, Bob courageously served as a military policeman.
Bob is now reunited with his beloved wife, Linda, his father, Robert D. Whitmore, his mother in law and father in law, Orville and Ruth Burch, and his brother Joseph Whitmore.
He is survived by his mother, Evelyn (Flitcroft) Whitmore, his children, Robert E. (Donna) Whitmore and Kathleen (William) Stewart, one brother, Edward (Nancy) Whitmore, 6 grandchildren and their spouses, and 5 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services for Bob will be Thursday, August 22 at 12 p.m. in the Amsterdam Church of God with Rev. David Guess officiating. Burial will follow at Westview Cemetery in Carrollton. Visitation will be Thursday from 10 a.m. until time of services in the church.
