MICHAEL BERARDUCCI

Michael A. Berarducci, 73, of Las Vegas, Nevada, formerly of Steubenville, peacefully passed away September 4, 2024, surrounded by his family. He was the son of the late Francis and Antonina (DiNovo) Berarducci. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his uncle, Michael DiNovo, his aunt, Josephine “Pip” DiNovo, and his mother and father in law, Wilmer and Patricia Watt. He is survived by his wife of nearly 47 years, Michele, daughter, Katherine “Katie” Golec, son-in-law, Jason Golec, and grandson, Andrew Golec all of Las Vegas, Nevada.

Mike was a Saint Anthony Hawk and a 1969 graduate of Steubenville Catholic Central High School where he was a basketball standout. He attended Walsh College to continue his basketball career. He later transferred to Kent State University and graduated in 1973 with a degree in social work. Mike began his career with the Jefferson County Child Protective Services where he was able to positively impact the lives of many children and families throughout the Ohio Valley. In 1975, Mike met the love of his life, Michele, whom he married on October 15, 1977.

In 1977 Mike left the social work field to join the family business, Pietro DiNovo and Son Chrysler Dodge. DiNovo’s was an institution on Third Street for over 90 years. Under Mike’s leadership, the business grew and moved into the twenty-first century without losing its traditional family atmosphere.

During his time as a business owner, Mike continued to utilize his social work background serving with numerous local organizations.

Mike enjoyed cars, gardening, cooking, wine, and listening to all kinds of music. Following several epic road trips West, he and Michele permanently relocated to Las Vegas in 2013 to be near Katie and Jason and welcomed their grandson Andrew in 2015. Andrew was a source of great pride for Mike and they shared a special bond enjoying race cars, chess, and “Paw Paw” bagels together. Mike was a member of Our Lady of Las Vegas Catholic Church.

Mike received outstanding care in his final hours and the family is incredibly grateful for the compassionate and exceptional team at the Southern Hills Hospital.

At a later date, there will be a small, private celebration of life, just as Mike wished.
