DELVERNA McKITRICK

Born on June 27, 1940, in Follansbee, WV, Delverna was the daughter of the late Jay and Mary (Cline) Collins. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband, John Murray McKitrick, and her sisters Glenda Lantz, Nina Molnar and her brother Jay Collins.

A graduate of Follansbee High School, Class of 1958, Delverna went on to work as an operator for C&P Telephone, where she served diligently until her retirement. She was a devoted member of the Hooverson Heights Church of Christ and was known for her kind spirit, deep faith, and unwavering dedication to her family and friends.

Delverna is survived by her three loving children: Rhonda (Shawn) Brannon of Castle Shannon, PA; Zena (Scott) Trimmer of Follansbee, WV; and John (Randi) McKitrick, Jr. of Mineral Wells, WV. She is also survived by her cherished grandchildren: Josh (Kate Montgomery) Revels, Tyler Revels and companion Alyssa Bowmaster, Kristie (Tim) Vicinie, Ryan (Tori) Trimmer, Rachel (Noah) Snyder, Stephen McKitrick, Alex McKitrick and companion Shannon Dean, and Katie McKitrick; seven great grandchildren: Aurora, Elizabeth, Gracie, Sophia, Liam, Gwendolyn, and Richard. Delverna leaves behind numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends who will remember her warmth and caring nature.

Visitation will be held on Friday, November 1, 2024, from 2:00PM to 4:00PM and again from 6:00PM to 8:00PM at the Mullenbach Funeral Home and again on Saturday, November 2, 2024, from 10:00AM till the time of services at 11:00AM with Bob Jones officiating at the Hooverson Heights Church of Christ.

Inurnment will be held privately as per Delverna’s wishes.
