MARY SKATER
Mary E. Skater, 104, of Bloomingdale died Saturday, October 19, 2024 at Trinity West ER. She was born November 9, 1919 in Saltzburg, PA. She is the daughter of the late Dominick and Immaculata Angelo. Also preceding her in death are her husband Anthony “Tony” Skater; five brothers Charles, Jessie, Pepper, Katz and Nick; one granddaughter Elektra Behringer; two canines Pookie, Tori and one cat Cece.
Mary was a Homemaker and a faithful member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church & the former St. Pius The X Catholic Church and its choir and CWC. She was a member of the former Catholic Daughter’s of America Court# 431. Mary also loved her family gatherings.
Surviving are two daughter Judy (Nick) Damis of Wintersville and Toni Skater of Bloomingdale, with whom she resided with; one grandchild Nick (Lynne) Damis, Jr. of Steubenville.
Calling hours will be held Thursday from 3 pm to 6 pm at the Mosti Funeral Home, Sunset Chapel, 4435 Sunset Blvd., Steubenville. A funeral liturgy with Mass will be held Friday at 10 am at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, Fr. Michael Gossett will celebrate. Entombment will follow in Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
