She was the wife of the late Richard “Dick” Davis for 53 years. She was preceded in death by her parents Paul and Ruth Soltis, as well as Rhonda Snodgrass, a loving child whom Joan and Dick cherished as their own.

She was a proud and loving Grandma to Bekah (Kevin) Lafferty, Victoria (Joey) Perkey, Nicholas Davis, Chyanne (Dakota) Woods, Terri Jo (Zach Frey) Fittro, Paris (Kyle) Dorsey, and Emmett Irwin. She was a wonderful Great Grandma to Carlina, Joey, Natalie, Kyle Jr., Luella, Owen, and Maverick.

Joan graduated from Wintersville High School in 1965. It was important to her to keep her classmates connected, and she helped to organize many of the class reunions.

She cherished time spent with family and friends, and her puppies held a very special place in her heart. She loved the beach, and believed there was no such thing as too many seashells. She spent much of her time crafting and gardening, and was in Master Gardeners of Jefferson County. Joan loved being a member of The La Bonne Vie Chapter of The Red Hat Society in Steubenville for over 20 years. She had several “fancy hats”, and also hosted summer cookouts at her home for the entire group.

Her deep faith was an important part of her life. She was a charter member of the former Faith Evangelical Presbyterian Church, Richmond, but most recently attended Impact Church in Steubenville.
