It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Martin "Marty" "Coach" Connor, of Mingo Junction, Ohio, a loving husband, devoted father, grandfather, and cherished member of our community, who passed away peacefully on Tuesday, November 19, 2024, at the age of 82.
Born on November 12, 1942, in Steubenville, Ohio. Marty was the beloved son of the late Martin and Mary (Getsey) Connor. Marty is survived by his wife of over 57 years, Dolores (Abbate) Connor. Together, they raised three sons: Andrew (Tiffany) Connor, Jamie (Lori) Connor, and David (Carrie) Connor. He was the proud grandfather of five grandchildren, Zachary, AJ, Chelsea, Luca, and Maisie, who were the light of his life.
Marty dedicated over 37 years to his career at International Mill Service in Mingo.
Friends and family are invited to honor Marty's life at Wheeler Funeral Home, 101 Longview Ave., Mingo Junction on Sunday, November 24th, from 2:00 to 6:00 PM. On Monday there will be viewing at St. Agnes Catholic Church in Mingo from 9:00 a.m. until the time of his Funeral Liturgy with Mass at 10:00 a.m. Interment at Mt. Calvary Cemetery in Steubenville, OH. On Sunday there will be Vigil Service at 5:45 p.m.
