GARY GARDNER

He was born August 22, 1950, in Cleveland, OH, a son of the late David “Duck” and Sara (Bowery) Gardner. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Glenn C. Gardner.

Gary worked for 41 years as a millwright in the oil cellar at Wheeling Pittsburgh Steel Corp. He was an avid fisherman and enjoyed hunting and golfing. He loved watching the Pittsburgh Steelers with his family. He especially enjoyed watching his grandkids play sports.

Surviving are his wife whom he has shared 42 years with, Linda (Hanlin) Gardner; five children, Richard “Shane” Gardner of St. Clairsville, OH, Lyndi Casey of Steubenville, OH, John Stout of Brilliant, OH, Alishia (Michael) Haines of Brilliant, OH, and Ami (Jesse) Cline of Toronto, OH; a granddaughter whom he helped raise, Jessi (Cody) Nelms of Brilliant, OH; ten grandchildren; and four great-grand children.

To honor Gary’s wishes funeral services will be private. Interment at New Alexandria Cemetery.
