On the morning of December 4th, 2024, Shirley Ann Baylis passed away at Mercy West Hospital in Cincinnati, OH at the age of 77.
Shirley was born in Beaver Falls, PA on June 20, 1947 to Alfred and Jennie Liberty, where she grew up and met her husband Jerral Baylis. They were married on October 20th, 1967 in Baltimore, MD. Shirley lived in and around Steubenville, OH for most of her adult life. She loved Jesus and loved adventure. She filled her life with stories that she published in a book and delighted in giving away to everybody she met. She is happy to be home now in a mansion full of the many pets that were waiting for her.
Shirley is preceded in death by her parents Alfred and Jennie Liberty, and her brothers Robert Liberty and John Liberty. She is survived by her husband Jerral Baylis, her sister Janet Bozic, her children Pamela Knudson, Alfred Baylis, Nancy Grim, Charlie Baylis, and Margaret Baylis, and seven grandchildren.
Friends may call at Dunlope-Shorac Funeral Home, 215 Fernwood Road, Wintersville, Ohio on Sunday, December 8, 2024 from 1 pm - 4pm. Additional visitation on Monday from 10 am until the time of service at 11 am with Rev. Dr. Clint Quillen officiating. Private burial at Fort SteubenBurial Estates.
