THOMAS L. GRIMM
The family of Thomas Lee Grimm of Richmond, Ohio is saddened to announce his passing on December 8, 2024 at the age of 91.
Born December 14, 1932 in Richmond, Tom was the second of five children born to the late Clifford and Darlene Call Grimm. He was a graduate of Jefferson Union High School Class of 1950. Tom began his 39 year career at M&M Bank, starting as a general bookkeeper, then transferring to the Trust Dept., being promoted to President and CEO in 1986, and retiring as Chairman of the Board.
Tom was a lifelong member of Richmond Methodist Church, Richmond Historical Society, Unionport Masonic Lodge, Salem Township Clerk, Richmond Lions Club, and 60 plus year member of Richmond American Legion Post 740. He served in the US Army during the Korean War.
Preceding Tom in death were his siblings Dave, Hannah and Daniel.
Very devoted to his family, Tom lived a great life of kindness and generosity to all.
Tom is survived by his wife of seventy years, Barbara A. Allan Grimm; four daughters Debbie (late David) Artman, Julia McGinnis, Darla (Dennis) VanFossen and Leanne (Armando) Sinicropi; eight grandchildren Aaron (Amanda) Artman, Sarah (Kevin) Santoro, Drew (Kaela) VanFossen, Rachael (Scott) Parnell, Dustin (Mara) VanFossen, Denna (Dustin) Harrison, Armando D. Sinicropi and Mitchell Thomas Sinicropi; and nine great grandchildren Sophia, Santo, Alexander, Ethan Thomas, Brynlee, Adalee, Emlynn, Alivia, Joseph and two arriving in the spring; sister Twyla Pollock and numerous nieces and nephews.
One of Tom’s greatest joys was gardening with his family.
Friends may call at Dunlope-Shorac Funeral Home, 215 Fernwood Road, Wintersville, Ohio on Wednesday 4-6 p.m.
Services 11 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home with Pastor Tom Scott officiating. Burial at Richmond Union Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the Grimm Family suggests that memorials be directed to Richmond Methodist Church or Richmond Historical Society.
