WILLIAM WESTLING
William A. Westling, 62 of Newark passed away on December 20, 2024 at OSU Medical Center Hospice. He was born on May 22, 1962 in Steubenville, OH to the late George A. and Sharon L. (Porter) Westling.
Bill served honorably in the U.S. Air Force as a Titan II missile crew member. He was an electrical engineer for AEP. He was very generous, always contributing to various organizations such as giving blood to the Red Cross. He loved his children and grandchildren and never missed their activities.
He is survived by his loving wife of 43 years, Cindy E. (Floyd) Westling; sons, Billy (Samantha) Westling, Jr. and Michael (Karen) Westling; grandchildren, Ethan, Isaac, Nathan and Andrew; brother, Bryan (Debra) Westling; sister, Theresa (Francis Johnson) Westling; many nieces, nephews, brother-in-law, sister- in-laws and beloved dog, Sidney Crosby.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother, Steven Westling; and mother-in-law and father-in-law, Carol and Okie Floyd.
The family will receive friends 11-1pm on Saturday, December 28, 2024 at Grace Fellowship, 575 Diley Rd., Pickerington, OH. Funeral service will follow at 1pm with Pastor Kevin Kellogg. Military honors will be provided by the Reynoldsburg Honor Guard.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Wounded Warriors, St. Jude’s Hospital or Nationwide Children’s Hospital.
