DOMINIC NOTARANTONIO JR.

Dominic Notarantonio, Jr., 66, of Weirton, WV, passed away on January 21, 2025, at the Weirton Geriatric Center.

Born on April 2, 1958, in Weirton, he was a son of the late Dominic and Rachel Fiocca Notarantonio, Sr.

A 1977 graduate of Weir High School, Dominic worked for nearly three decades at Starvaggi Industries as a laborer and parts man. After deciding to pursue new opportunities, he went back to school and eventually concluded his career at BNY Mellon.

Dominic was a member of Saint Joseph the Worker Roman Catholic Church in Weirton, where he was involved in various parish activities. He was also a member of the Knights of Columbus 3734 and the Catholic Men’s Group That Man Is You (TMIY), finding great fulfillment in his faith and fellowship with others.

Known for his kind soul and unshakable patience, Dominic devoted his time to caring for his parents in their senior years, allowing them to remain in their home. His generosity and compassion were evident in all aspects of his life. He was a well-read and knowledgeable man, with a vast understanding of the stock market, and enjoyed attending seminars across the United States to further his knowledge. If there was a trivia question, Dominic was always the one with the answer. His love of cars and snow skiing were just a few of his passions, and he always looked forward to movie outings with his friend, Dr. John Basil.

He will be remembered with love by his sister, Angela Howells, his two brothers, Anthony (Donna) and Joseph Notarantonio; his nieces, Sarah Howells, Elizabeth (Jeffrey) Weaver, Amanda (Matt) Ntiros, Allison (Matty) Seale; his nephew, Anthony (Lexi) Notarantonio; his great niece and nephews, Luke and Jacob Ntiros, and Scarlett Seale; and all his friends and co-workers he made along his way.

Visitation will be 3 – 7 PM on Friday at the Greco-Hertnick Funeral Home, 3219 Main Street Weirton.

Knights of Columbus 3734 will recite the rosary at 6:30 PM in the funeral home.

Mass of Christian Burial will Be Celebrated at 10 AM on Saturday at Saint Joseph the Worker Roman Catholic Church.

Rev. Fr Dennis R. Schuelkens, Jr. and Deacon John Basil will preside.

Entombment will follow at Saint Paul’s Cemetery, Weirton.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Saint Joseph the Worker Memorial Fund, Leukemia Lymphoma Society or the Wounded Warrior Project.
