Sharon Rae McCauley, 73 of Follansbee, WV died peacefully on Thursday, January 2, 2025, at her home. She was born on June 24, 1951, in Follansbee, WV a daughter of the late Rees Rees, Jr. and Martha Elizabeth (Anderson) Rees. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by an infant son, Samuel.
Sharon graduated from Follansbee High School. She worked for the Hooverson Heights Pharmacy as a clerk and worked for 25 years for the R.E.A.C.H. organization. She enjoyed swimming and crocheting in her spare time along with spending time with her family. She attended the Wellsburg Church of the Nazarene.
She is survived by her devoted husband Aaron McCauley at home; two sons, Jacob (Glendia) McCauley of Palmetto Bay, FL, and Daniel (Mary) McCauley of Hookstown, PA; one sister, Iris Ferrell of Follansbee, WV, one brother, Myron (Pamela) Reese of Wintersville, OH; two granddaughters, Anna and Alexis; several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
A graveside service will be held on Monday, January 6, 2025, at 11:00 am with Pastor Brian Knight and Pastor Tim Colvin officiating at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens in Weirton, WV where Sharon will be laid to rest.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Mullenbach Funeral Home 669 Main St. Follansbee, WV 26037.
