William Earl Bowersock, 86 of Wellsburg, WV died peacefully with his family by his side on Monday, January 13, 2025, at Valley Hospice in Steubenville, OH.
William was born on March 28, 1938, in Barnesville, OH, a son of the late Carl and Virginia (Barcus) Bowersock. In addition to his parents William is preceded in death by his infant son, William Earl Bowersock, one brother, Robert Bowersock, one sister Shirley Hanchin, and his nephew, Stevie Hanchin.
William attended Union High School in Richmond, OH. He retired from Eagle Manufacturing where he worked as a press operator for over 30 years and was a member of the former Bloomingdale Church of God. Bill was a big fan of the Dallas Cowboys and belonged to many bowling leagues and most of all he enjoyed taking of the family pets.
William is survived by his wife of 60 years Shirley (Holloway) Bowersock at home; one daughter, Kimberly Craft and husband David of Wellsburg, WV, two sons, Clinton Bowersock and wife Tiarre of Burgettstown, PA, Robert Bowersock of Wells- burg, WV; one brother, Charles Bowersock of Dover, OH, three granddaughters, Hope (Steve) Markish, Melissa Bowersock, and Allison Craft; and three grandsons, Michael (Cassie) Huff, Brandon Bowersock, and Josh Craft; several great grandchildren; along with several nieces and nephews.
All services and inurnment will be held privately at the convenience of his family.
