RICHARD POLEN, SR.

He was born December 22, 1940, in Steubenville, OH, a son of the late Earl C. “Buck” and Hilda G. (Pasco) Polen. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Walter “Sparky” Polen and James Polen; and a sister Mary Lutz.

Richard was a retired self-employed truck driver. He was a member of the Brilliant Methodist Church; a former social member of the Brilliant American Legion; and he enjoyed farming.

Surviving are his companion, Nina Linn of Cadiz, OH; a son, Richard Polen, Jr. of Brilliant, OH; a daughter, Lisa (Greg) Bell of Mingo Junction, OH; two sisters, Gracie Devore of Brilliant, OH and Margie Polen of Mingo Junction, OH; four grandchildren, MacKenzie Polen, Arika Polen, Brittany (Brandon) Harkins and Anthony Sterling; and three great-grandchil- dren, Holden, Rowan, and Gavin Harkins.

Honoring Richard’s wishes private services will be held at a later date. Private interment at Holly Memorial Gardens, Colerain, OH.
