KATHERINE SMITH
Katherine Mattie Smith, 86, of 150 Orchard Street, Wintersville, OH, passed away peacefully surrounded by loved ones at Weirton Medical Center in Weirton, WV. Katherine was born in Beech Bottom, WV, on October 29, 1938, to the late Kate Eleanor and James Wiggins.
Katherine graduated from Wellsburg High School in 1956, where she served as Student Council Vice President.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Gina Smith (Tim Gosselin).
Katherine is survived by her husband of 64 loving years, Eugene Levon Smith, Sr. She also leaves behind her siblings, her children L’Tanya Martin (Dean), Eugene Smith, Jr. (Juanita), and Deborah Smith: her treasured granddaughters and cherished great-grandchildren.
Visitation for Katherine Smith will be held on Friday, March 14, from 6 pm to 8 pm at Vinson Mortuary and on Saturday, March 15, from 11 am to 12 pm at Greater Zion Temple Family Worship. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, March 15 at 12 pm at Greater Zion Temple Family Worship Center.
