GLENN BILBY
Glenn Alden Bilby, 78 of Weirton, WV, passed away on Friday after a long battle from his exposure to Agent Orange during his service to the country during the Vietnam War.
Glenn was born on September 28, 1946. He was the son of the late Glenn Patterson Bilby and Maxine Cecil (Taylor) Bilby.
Glenn served in the United States Navy as a Seabee and received numerous medals to include the National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal with Bronze Star, Fleet Marine Force Combat Operations Insignia and Vietnam Campaign Medal with Device 1960. He came home from the war and started his own business of Glenn Bilby Construction. Glenn worked seven days a week and loved it. He was the definition of a hardworking man.
In addition to his parents, Glenn was preceded in death by his wife of 29 years, Dora Yvonne (Riter) Bilby, a son, Aaron Troy Bilby and two siblings, Wayne and Darrell Bilby.
Glenn is survived by his two children, Laura Burdine, husband, Jor of Beech Bottom and Glenn K. Bilby, wife, Christy of Follansbee, WV, six grandchildren, Calvin, wife, Hannah, Kevin and Kyle Burdine, fiancé, Kyleigh Williams, Ryan and Alaina Bilby and Aaron Bilby, two step grandchildren, Ashley and Austin Tucker, two great grandchildren, Jack and Callum, a sister, Loretta Brynza and her husband, Joe and numerous nieces and nephews.
Viewing on Wed. 11 AM till Service 1 PM at the James Funeral Home, Follansbee, WV (304)527-1717. Interment will follow at St. John Cemetery Haven of Rest.
