ALICIA ORLANDO

Alicia (Sha) Nicole Orlando 35, of Wintersville, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, May 13th, 2025. She was brought into this world on Sunday August 7th, 1989 by James and Jennifer Orlando. She is preceded in death by her grandmother and grandfather Patsy and Kathryn Bevilacqua, her grandfather James J Orlando, and the love of her life Jesse MacGregor. She is survived by her children Caleb Hines (Riley Reed), Peyton Ewing, Dominic Hines, and her grandson Geovanni Hines. She is survived by her parents, Grandmother Pam Orlando and siblings Sarah (Richard) Sutton, Amberle Orlando and JJ (Kamara) Orlando. She was the proud Aunt and best friend to AJ, Max, and Millie Sutton. She had the privilege of taking in and loving a few bonus sons Chubby Eskridge, Issac McGee, and Zak McGee. She will be missed by several aunts, uncles and cousins.

She was so proud of her children and she told everyone she knew exactly how proud she was. She was a new grandmother taking on the very special title of Mema. She loved her grandson with her whole heart. You could usually find her fishing with her boys, shopping with her daughter, listening to Post Malone or watching Bluey with Geo. She was always running around town doing something. She graduated from Indian Creek in 2007 and you’d often see her decked out in red, white, and gold to watch her daughter in the band and her sons playing football. She volunteered at the Wintersville fire department bingo where she made lifelong friends with so many. She started her nursing career as a behavioral health nurse, and most recently worked in the home health field. While she loved every single client she had, Sam had a special place in her heart. Alicia was a lifelong hydrocephalus warrior. She had over fifteen brain surgeries in her too short life, and had just celebrated being six years sober. This is a feat we are so very proud of.

Alicia was taken far too soon and will be missed by so many. Despite her numerous struggles she was always the first to lend a hand. Her laugh was heard across the room and you always knew exactly who it came from. We are proud to say she is an organ donor, and has the potential to save or improve the lives of over 100 people through her donation.

Visitation will be held Thursday from 3-7 p.m. at the Mosti Funeral Home, Sunset Chapel, 4435 Sunset Blvd., Steubenville. A funeral liturgy with Mass will be held Friday at 10 a.m. at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, Fr. Michael Gossett will celebrate. Burial will follow in Fort Steuben Burial Estates.
