DAVID YASHO

David J. Yasho, 91, of Toronto, OH, passed away May 3, 2025, in the Valley Hospice Care Center in Steubenville, OH.

Dave was born November 26, 1933, in Empire, OH, son of the late Michael and Josephine (Keller) Yasho.

Dave worked as a Maintenance Supervisor at Timet-Titanium Metals Corp. in Toronto before his eventual retirement. He was a 1951 graduate of Jefferson Union ‘JU’ high school, member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witness in Follansbee, WV, and an avid University of Michigan fan.

In addition to his parents, Dave was also preceded in death by his first wife in 1998, Catherine ‘Cappy’ Hannan Yasho, son, John Paul Yasho, granddaughter, Amy Yasho, and brother, Daniel Yasho.

Dave is survived by his wife, Lenora Yasho; daughter, Michele (Rudy) Dipold of Salineville, OH; two sons, David M. (Terri) Yasho of Steubenville, and Bill Yasho of Toronto; brother, James (Alice) Yasho of GA; five grandchildren, Ian McElroy, Katherine Jordan, Jennifer Yasho, Bryan Yasho and Kalie Yasho; six great-grandchildren, and his beloved companion ‘Major’.

Visitation will take place on Tuesday, May 6 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the J.E. Foster Funeral Home in Toronto where services will be held at 1 p.m. An Elder from the Follansbee Kingdom Hall will officiate and burial will follow in the Island Creek Cemetery in Toronto.
