James William Hill, 77, of Unionport, Ohio passed away Sunday, May 25, 2025 at UCMC Presby Hospital in Pittsburgh. He was born July 20, 1947 in Steubenville, Ohio a son of the late Dent and Esther (Beighey) Hill. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Blanche (Donaldson) Hill on December 6, 2024; grandson, Christopher Holstein; brother, Eugene Hill; sisters, Joann Hill, Violet Leatherman, and Harriet Robinson.
Jim was a truck driver for Fraley and Schilling Trucking. He was a Vietnam Veteran serving for the US Army and was a member of Carrollton American Legion.
He is survived by his daughters, Kimberly Cronin, Melissa Millhorn, and Pamela Holstein; son, Patrick David Hill; brother, Thomas (Madelyn) Hill; sister, Patricia (Carl) Gross; grandchildren, Kristin Hill, Denise Hill, Catie Hill, Cristina Fink, Cassie, Michael Millhorn, Mariah Myers and Savannah Myers; great-grandchildren, Tryston, Zoey, Christian, Bow, Hunter, Lily, Kelly, Lucas, April, Jayle, Greyson, Hunter, Elias, Amari, and Hayden.
Friends will be received at the Everhart-Bove Funeral Home, 685 Canton Rd., Wintersville on Wednesday from 5 to 8 p.m. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday with Pastor Bill Westling officiating. Burial will follow at Bloomingdale cemetery with military honors. www.everhart-bove
