ELLEN HUNT

Ellen G. Hunt, 88, of Richmond, Ohio, was called home on July 20, 2025 surrounded by her family. Her warmth, kindness, and unwavering devotion to her family and friends will be remembered always. She leaves behind a legacy of love, and she will be missed beyond measure.
She was born on July 30, 1936, in Berlin, PA, to the late Luther and Florence (Stevanus) Klink.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, David Owen Hunt; sons, James D. Hunt and Gary Hanlin; and her brothers, Roy and Eugene Klink.
Ellen was a 1954 graduate from Jefferson Union High School. She was the 1st ever manager at the Jefferson County Airport. She was a member at Two Ridge Presbyterian Church, and was also a member of the American Legion Auxiliary Post 557, the Senior Citizens “GAD Abouts”, the Red Hats Society, and enjoyed her Prime Time gatherings. Ellen was loved and cherished by everyone who knew her, she was known for her warm, loving embrace.
Ellen is survived by her children, Randall (Jeanne) Hanlin, Sharon (Keith) Pool, Robert O. Hunt, Heidi A. (Russ) Greene, and Richard Hunt; her grandchildren, Kim (Jeremy) Yeager, Julie (Josh) Morckel, Cody Hanlin, and Jordan (Abby) Hanlin; her many great grandchildren, and her special dog, Daisy Mae.
With heavy hearts, we share that Ellen passed away just one week shy of her 89th birthday. As her special day approaches, we invite all who knew and loved Ellen to honor her memory by celebrating the beautiful life she lived. Whether through stories, acts of kindness, or simply holding her in your thoughts, let’s come together to remember and cherish Ellen’s spirit.
Friends will be received at the Everhart-Bove Funeral Home, 685 Canton Rd., Wintersville, Ohio, on Wednesday, July 23, 2025 from 1 P.M. until time of services at 5 P.M.
A private burial will be held at Ft. Steuben Burial Estates.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Legion Women’s Auxiliary Post 557.
