GERALD GIFFIN

Joe was born January 9, 1951 in Steubenville, OH, son of the late William E. and Leona (McNemar) Giffin.

Joe worked as a Bricklayer in the Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel Plant, in Mingo Jct., until his eventual retirement. He was also a Veteran of the US Army.

In addition to his parents, Joe was also preceded in death by an infant son Michael, first wife Joyce Zenobile Giffin in 2006, sister Janet Giffin, and brother Donald Giffin.

Joe leaves behind his wife, Susan R. (Bray) Schultz Giffin; son Brian (Kelly) Giffin of Alliance, OH; step-sons, David (Lovonne) Schultz of Toronto, Doug (Carrie) Schultz of Pickerington, OH, and Dan (Misty) Schultz also of Toronto; sisters, Linda (Richard) Brownlee of Bloomingdale, OH, and Carolyn (Dave) Taylor of Toronto; six grandchildren, Emily Giffin, Kenneth Rowe, Madalyn (Logan) Reitter, Peyton Schultz, Richard (Jenna) Schultz, and Janelle Schultz, and one great-grandson, Tucker Schultz.

Family and friends will be received on Saturday, July 26 from 11 AM to 1 PM at the J.E. Foster Funeral Home in Toronto where services will follow at 1 PM. Pastor Mark Prichard will officiate, and burial will follow in the Unionport Cemetery.
