CHARLES LATHEM
Charles “Charlie” R. Lathem, 82, passed away on August 22, 2025, at the Cleveland Clinic Hillcrest Hospital.
Charlie was born on October 15, 1942, in Steubenville, Ohio, a son of the late Charles Junior and Sarah Bails Lathem.
Charlie proudly served his country in the U.S. Army before working as a crane repairman at Weirton Steel.
Charlie is preceded in death by his parents, his first wife Wilda Bridgette Butler Lathem and second wife Susan Lathem; son Charles R. Lathem II and sisters Edna Robinson, Marjorie Ely and Elizabeth “Betty” Moorehead.
Charlie is survived by his children Mary (Larry) Saccareccia, Tracy Anderson, Carol (Jeff) Bradley, James Lathem, William Lathem and Patrick (Amanda) Lathem; daughter-in-law Diedre Lathem; 17 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren.
Friends may call at Dunlope-Shorac Funeral Home, 215 Fernwood Road, Wintersville on Thursday, August 28, from 10 a.m. until the time of services at noon. Burial at Fort Steuben.
