DAWN CROWE

Dawn Marie (Lewis) Crowe, 68, of East Springfield, OH, passed away on July 31, 2025 at UPMC McGee-Womens Hospital, Pittsburgh, PA.

She was born on July 18,1957 in Steubenville, OH, a daughter of the late John T. and MaryLou (McLister) Lewis.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband and high school sweetheart, Joseph “Joe” Lin Crowe, and most recently her fur baby, Lewis.

She was Catholic by faith and a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church. She also attended the Beacon of Light in Amsterdam where she was part of their church family.

Dawn was the proud owner of Repairs Plus, formerly located in the Fort Steuben Mall before relocating to Toronto, Ohio. She was also employed at the White Bear for many years. She was a lifetime member of the Fort Steuben Kennel Association and a member of Ladies Auxiliary of American Legion Post 557 for many years. A passionate dog enthusiast, Dawn raised and showed basset hounds–most recently her beloved Mario.

Dawn is survived by her sister, Gael (Bob) Damron; her longtime best friend, Norma Eltringham Harris; nieces and nephews, Cigi Damron, Jessica and Steve Sipes, Brandi and Mark Higginbotham, and Jason Shrieve; great nephews and nieces, Jaxson Damron, Kyla and Braiden Ralston, Madison, Lillie, Junior, Allie Rae, Harrison, and Ben Higginbotham, Tyler and Tony Sipes; and fur baby, Mario.

Friends will be received at the Everhart-Bove Funeral Home, 685 Canton Road, Wintersville, on Thursday, August 7, 2025, from 3 p.m. until time of funeral services at 7 p.m with Pastor Mike Thurston officiating.

A private burial will be held at Ft. Steuben Burial Estates.
