DEBORAH PRICE
It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Deborah Kay Price, a beloved mother, sister, and dedicated nurse, who left this world on August 2, 2025, at the age of 74. Born on January 28, 1951, in Steubenville, Ohio, Deborah was a daughter of Robert and Shirley Klein Smith.
A compassionate, caring professional, Deborah devoted over thirty years of her life to the nursing field at McGee Women’s Hospital, specializing in oncology. Her patients adored her, often expressing their gratitude with thoughtful gifts, a testament to the love and kindness she effortlessly shared. Deborah was not just a caregiver; she was a beacon of hope for her patients, comforting them during their most challenging times.
She drew joy from the company of her fur baby, Happy, who filled her home with laughter and warmth. She also enjoyed the time she spent in Florida with her grand dogs, Anabelle and Khadi.
A woman of faith, Deborah held a strong belief in God that guided her life and actions, further deepening her connections with those around her.
In her free time, she delighted in the simple pleasures of life. Whether it was watching wildlife in her backyard–admiring deer, turkeys, and playful squirrels–or listening to the melodic tunes of Eric Clapton and Joe Cocker, Deborah found happiness in the everyday. She kept her mind sharp and engaged by playing Mah Jong and Solitaire, reflecting her vibrant spirit and resilience.
In addition to her parents, Deborah was preceded in death by her brother Bruce Smith and companion Mr. John Eureka.
Deborah’s life was filled with love for her family, especially the individuals left to cherish her memory: her daughter, Angela Smith of Minneola, FL; her sisters, Cheryl Hoover of Steubenville and Carolyn Grimm of Pinehurst, NC; and many nieces and nephews.
Deborah’s legacy will live on in the hearts of all who were fortunate to know her. Her caring nature and compassionate spirit left an indelible mark on the lives she touched.
Deborah’s request for cremation will be honored.
She will be cremated at the Greco-Hertnick Funeral Home Crematory, 3219 Main Street, Weirton, WV. 26062.
Rest in peace, dear Deborah, knowing you will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
