HENRY OLSZEWSKI

Henry C. “Hank” Olszewski, 91, of Wintersville died Friday, August 15, 2025 at Valley Hospice. He was born March 4, 1934 in Steubenville. He is the son of the late Henry and Stella Zabik Olszewski. Henry is preceded in death by his wife Virginia DiCesare Olszewski; five sisters Josephine Albino, Mary Hudak, Elizabeth Tarquino, Carolyn Hannen and Florence Davidson.

Hank was retired from the U.S. Postal Service where he was a letter carrier for many years. He was also a member of the Triumph of the Cross Parish, VFW, American Legion Post 33 and the PNA. Hank proudly served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean War.

Surviving are his son Douglas (Nancy) Olszewski of Wintersville; daughter Jeannie (Marc) Doukakis of Columbus; five grandchildren Virginia (Fiance Kyle Kuhar), Hannah, Mia, Dominic and Matthew. He also leaves behind his significant other Gloria Polk.

Visitation will be held Thursday from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm at the Mosti Funeral Home, Sunset Chapel, 4435 Sunset Blvd, Steubenville. Additional visitation will be held Friday at the funeral home from 9:00 am until 10:00 am. Funeral liturgy with Mass will follow at 10:30 am at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, Fr. Matthew Gossett will celebrate. Entombment will follow in Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
