RONALD MARTIN

Ronald E. Martin 92, of East Springfield, Ohio, passed away Saturday, August 2, 2025 at Weirton Medical Center. He was born August 23, 1932 in East Springfield, Ohio, a son of the late William and Audrey (Lewis) Martin.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, J. Lorraine (Wiley) Martin whom he married on April 23, 1955; grandparents who helped raise him, Brenton and Sarada Lewis; infant sister, Opal Virginia; Uncles, Carl and Dwight Lewis.

Ron was a lifelong resident of East Springfield and was a faithful member of East Springfield Christ United Methodist Church. He was a U.S. Army Veteran of the Korean Conflict. He was retired from Weirton Steel BOP after 40 years of work. Ron was a Ruritan member, 4-H advisor, 25 year club Weirton Steel, East Springfield Night Owls Camping Club, East Springfield Cemetery Committee, East Springfield Community Center.

Ron is survived by his daughters Deborah Martin of East Springfield, Darlene (Harold) Griffith of East Springfield, Brenda (Carl) Sikon of Pataskala, OH and Elaine (Larry) Berard of Bergholz; grandchildren, Brenton Griffith, Scott Sikon, Jason Zoellick, Barbara (Mark) Huntwork, Mark Turner; great-grandchildren, Kaleb, Jacob, and Lucas Griffith, Lucy, Charlotte, and Margot Sikon, Skylynn, Shyanna, Jason, and Zoey Zoellick, Emma, Kelsie and Marissa Huntwork.

Friends will be received at the East Springfield Christ United Methodist Church on Thursday, August 7, 2025, from 11 a.m. until time of funeral services at 1 p.m. with Pastor Deborah Kellar officiating. Burial will follow at East Springfield cemetery.
