SHARON SHEETZ

Sharon was born on June 27, 1947 in Steubenville, OH. She was the daughter of the late Joseph Dunn and Elizabeth (Haysler) Dunn.

Sharon was a dynamic person, always smiling and known for her ornery sense of humor. She shared that spirit throughout her years at Weirton Medical Center and later at Trinity Medical Center, where she dedicated 20 years to transporting patients with care and compassion until her retirement.

From childhood, Sharon held a deep faith rooted in the Catholic Church, beginning at St. Aquinas Catholic Church. She will be fondly remembered for her devotion to her family, her beloved dogs– Snowball, Bingo, and Cisco–and her love for the game of BINGO.

In addition to her parents, Sharon was preceded in death by her husband of 46 years, John “Jack” Scheetz Jr .

Sharon is survived by her three children, David Scheetz and companion, Melinda Ohler, John Scheetz and companion, Jennifer Lindemood, all of Follansbee, WV, Tammy Thompson of Wintersville, OH, six grandchildren, Brenton Scheetz and companion, Ashley Brettell, Shayla Thompson, Joshua Thompson, wife, Kierstin, Devin Miller, Sarah Scheetz and Aidan Scheetz, three great grandchildren, Ja’ Seir, Harmonee and Mahaleau, four siblings, Joe Dunn, wife, Sue of Florida, John Dunn, wife, Rita of Follansbee, WV, Jim Dunn, wife, Betsy, of Columbus, OH, Jeffrey Dunn and girlfriend, Candance Patton of Wintersvillle, OH, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Family and friends will be received on Friday, August 22, 2025 from 5:00 PM until time of Liturgy of the Word at 7:00 PM at the James Funeral Home, Follansbee, WV (304)527-1717 with Father Justin Golna, presiding. Interment will be held privately at Oak Grove Cemetery.
