ELIZABETH T. BELL
Elizabeth T. Bell, 92, of Steubenville, passed away peacefully of natural causes on Tuesday, September 16, 2025 at Country Club Manor. She was a resident for 17 months and had a special relationship with many of the staff members. She was born September 21, 1932. She is the daughter of the late Victor and Helen Stankiewicz.
She was a devoted mother and wife and loved being involved in St. Stanislaus Church. She prayed daily for all of her family and friends. She was a fantastic cook, and the family loved gathering together for special occasions and holidays at her home. She loved taking care of her grandchildren when they were small.
Elizabeth is preceded in death by her beloved husband Donald Bell; her sisters Mildred Paesano (John), Ida Kostecki (John); brothers John Stankiewicz (Wanda), and Walter Stankiewicz (Sophie), and Joe Stankiewicz (Mathilda).
She is survived by her sons Frank Bell (Leah), Chester Bell; daughters Joanne Straker (Robert) of Steubenville and Carol Hannah (Richard) of Pickerington, Ohio; grandchildren Jonathan and Jeremy Bell, Daniel and Kevin Hannah, Tracy Matanzo and Kimberly Straker. She has 8 great grandchildren and two more on the way in 2026.
Visitation will be held Friday from 2:00-5:00 pm at the Mosti Funeral Home, Sunset Chapel, 4435 Sunset Blvd., Steubenville. A funeral liturgy with Mass will be held Saturday at 12:00 pm at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, Fr. Matthew Gossett will celebrate. Entombment will follow in Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
