JAMES LUCKINO

James P. Luckino of Weirton, WV, age 85, passed away peacefully on Saturday, October 11, 2025.
Son of the late Frank and Marie (Drago) Luckino; beloved husband of 56 years to Rosalie (Conti) Luckino; loving father of Lisa (Leonard) Wycoff, Frank (Shannon) Luckino, Marie (Bob) Graswick, Sam (Cindy) Luckino and James C. Luckino; cherished Pap Pap of Jacob (Sujata) Wycoff, Rachel (Aaron) Thomas, Caleb (Lauren) Wycoff, Seth Wycoff, Felicia (Tom) Strasbaugh, Mia (Cam Forsyth) Wohlgemuth, Alessa, Reed, Nico and Gianni Luckino; proud great- grandfather of Francesca, Dev, Cameran, Owen, Theo, Carter, Case, Clara and Bo. Pap Jim to Robert (Mandy), Liz, Anna, Peyton, Victoria, Sophia, Arianna and Aliyah; brother of Phyllis (the late Robert) Adams and Frank (the late Christine) Luckino; brother-in-law of Cel (Dan) Reznicak, Cris (Lisa) Conti and Joann (Paul) Hommer; also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
Jim grew up and graduated from Wellsville High School. He was very proud of his roots there. One of his favorite stories to tell is that he had the record of the longest shot in basketball for making a basket from full court. He was a man who never stopped. After getting his barber license, he opened Luckino’s Barbershop in Midland with his best friend and brother, Frank. In 1974 they opened Duke & Duchess, he had many years of cutting hair and giving the best flat top to many. He retired a few years ago from Blue Grass Barber Shop in Weirton.
Also, during this time he earned his degree in education from the University of Steubenville and worked security at Homer Laughlin.
Family and friends will be received Friday, October 17 from 2-8 p.m. at Paul Henney Cremation & Funeral Tributes, 5570 Library Road., Bethel Park.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday, October 18, 11 a.m. at St. Valentine Church, 2710 Ohio St., Bethel Park, PA 15102.
