MARILYN L. WILLIAMS

Born on June 7, 1931, in Steubenville, Ohio, Marilyn lived a long and love-filled life centered around family, faith, and service to others. A proud graduate of Steubenville High School, Marilyn married the love of her life, Charles “Tom” Williams, on June 7, 1950. Together, they built a life grounded in love, laughter, and the joy of raising their family.
Marilyn dedicated much of her professional life to caring for others in the dental field, working as a dental assistant and receptionist for Dr. Samuel Fisher, DDS, and Dr. Charles Ellis, DDS. She was a long-time member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, where her faith was a guiding light throughout her life.
Her greatest passion and joy came from her family–especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She often said, “My grandchildren and great-grandchildren were always the pride and loves of my life.” She also adored her loyal companion, her dog Filbert, who brought her great comfort and joy in later years.
Marilyn is lovingly remembered by her children: Gayle (Barry) Poole of Blanco, TX, Terri Sluganski of Pittsburgh, PA and Wendy (Dr. John) Maltese of Rochester, MI, with whom she resided.
She is also survived by her grandchildren: Sarah (Matthew) Griener, Shela (Pierre) Odom, Christopher (Michelle) Maltese, Michael (Kara) Maltese, Mackenzie (Christopher) DiFiore, with whom she shared a birthday. As well as her great-grandchil- dren: Macie Sluganski, Madison Griener, Haven Sluganski, Alena, Lorenzo, and Carmela Maltese, and Lexi Maltese. Marilyn is also survived by her half-brother, Raymond Tallman.
Marilyn is preceded in death by her husband Tom Williams, grandson Police Officer Sean Sluganski, and half-brother Kenneth Tallman.
A funeral service will be held at Blessed Sacrament Church, 852 Main Street, Wintersville on Saturday, October 11, 2025, with visitation from 9:30 AM to 11:00 AM, followed by an 11:00 AM Mass.
