ROBIN BOWMAN
Robin Kay Hawthorne-Bowman, 70, of Weirton, WV unexpectedly passed on October 25, 2025 at Select Specialty Hospital with family at her side. Robin’s passing was due to complications from heart surgery performed at AGH in September.
She was born November 4, 1954, in Steubenville, Ohio, daughter of the late George R. and Rosezetta “Pete” (Morris) Hawthorne. After graduating from Toronto High School in 1972, Robin moved to Indiana. While raising her family there, Robin worked for Peru, IN school district.
Robin was an avid fan of the Indianapolis Colts and Cleveland Indians. She also was a successful “Sweepstaker” and won several prizes over the years including two trips to Super Bowls. While attending Sweepstakes conventions, Robin made several friends and enjoyed sharing their wins. Robin lived a vibrant life going on many girls’ day trips and vacations with her ’72 classmates and Ohio Valley friends.
She is survived by her daughter, Brandi (Chris) Keith; son, Joe Bowman; beloved brothers, Tim (Mary Hawthorne; Dave (Suzy) Hawthorne; sisters, Colleen Abdalla and Holly (John) Mavromatis; one granddaughter; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Per Robins wishes, she will be cremated. Arrangements were entrusted to Everhart-Bove Funeral Home, Wintersville, OH. Memorial contributions may be made in Robin’s name to Tunnel to Towers or the Toronto Alumni Association.
