DONALD MIECZKOWSKI

Born on September 6, 1947, in Steubenville, Ohio, Donny was the son of the late Sylvester “Babe” and Mary (Grajewski) Mieczkowski. He graduated from St. John Vianney High School and went on to earn his degree from the College of Steubenville.

After college, Donny moved to Montgomery County, Maryland, where he dedicated 35 years to education as a teacher, coach, and department head– most notably at Sherwood High School in Sandy Spring. His commitment to students and colleagues left a lasting legacy in the community he served.

Donny was preceded in death by his parents, his brother Larry, and many beloved aunts, uncles, and cousins.

He is survived by his devoted wife, Ann; his daughter Emily and son-in-law Kevin LeQuatte; four grandchildren, Savanna, Layne, Tatum, and Torie; and six great-grandchil- dren, Layla, Izzabella, Isaac, Isla, Georgia and Ivy. He also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, and cousins who will cherish his memory.

In accordance with Donny’s wishes, his body has been donated to advance scientific research. No services will be held at this time.
