RANDALL “RANDY” DAWSON
Randall “Randy” Dawson, 74, of New Cumberland, passed away after a brief battle with cancer, on Monday November 17, 2025. He was born on October 22, 1951, in Steubenville, the son of the late Clarence and Gladys (Hanlon) Dawson. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a grandson, Corey Dawson.
Randy graduated from Weir High, retired from Weirton Steel and was a member of the Weirton Steel 25 year Club.
He is survived by his wife Dorothy Dawson, at home, two sons, Dustin Dawson of New Cumberland and Donovan (Valerie) Dawson of Chester; five grandchildren, Karley, Kevin, Grant, Aiden and Olivia; a great-grandson, Murphy. He is also survived by two brothers, Robert Dawson of Weirton and Roger Dawson of WV and a sister Carol Nowlin of Steubenville.
Family and friends will be received on Friday November 21, 2025 from 4 pm to 6 pm at the Nixon Funeral Home of Newell where a funeral service will be held on Saturday, November 22, 2025, at 11 am. Interment will follow at New Cumberland Cemetery.
