CHARLES EDGELL SR.
Charles Edgell Sr. 78, of New Cumberland, passed away on Sunday December 7, 2025. He was born on October 10, 1947, the son of the late Donald and Bertha (Swiger) Edgell. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Irene Edgell; a son Charles Edgell Jr., a great-granddaughter, Aurora Davis; and a brother, Keith Edgell.
Charles was a veteran, serving in the Army and was retired from Weirton Steel/ Tin Mill.
He is survived by two sons, Terry( Crystal) Birkhimer of East Liverpool and James Birkhimer of Mingo Junction; two daughters, Lisa Edgell and Holly Edgell both of New Cumberland ; ten grandchildren, Dylan, Brandon, Dawn, Dalton(Niki), Taylor, Nathaniel, Peyton, Caitlyn, Myla, and Elynn, and five great-grandchildren, Deasia, Dewayne, Jackson, Avery, and Kinzie, He is also survived by a brother, Rodger Edgell of North Carolina and three sisters, Debbie Underwood and Kelly Miri both of WV, and Beverly Lowman of North Carolina.
Family and friends will be received on Friday December 12, 2025 at the New Cumberland Cemetery Chapel, from 1 pm to time of service at 2 pm. Military honors will be held.
