BARBARA SEARS
Barbara Joan Lake Sears, 75, of Steubenville, passed away on Tuesday, January 13, 2026 peacefully at home surrounded by family and friends. She was born September 17, 1950 to the late Lester Lloyd Lake and Sarah Ann Ruth Wade. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, David Shelton Sears, a brother Terry Gump, and a son Thomas Elliott all of Steubenville.
Surviving are three sons, David (Connie) Sears of Steubenville, Willis Sears of Toronto, and Jason (Jennifer) Sears of Triadelphia WV.; a sister Carol Carmichael and a brother Rick Gump, both of Steubenville. Barbara had grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews that she loved like her own children.
Visitation will be held Friday from 10 am until time of services at 12 pm at the Mosti Funeral Home, Sunset Chapel, 4435 Sunset Blvd., Steubenville. Pastor Dee Kovach will officiate and burial will take place in Highland Hills Memorial Gardens at a later date.
