JANE FISHER
Jane Eleanor Fisher, age 93 of Weirton formally a long-time resident the Toronto area transitioned to be with her Lord Monday November 10, 2026 at the Valley Hospice North Care Center.
Jane was born in Knox, PA the daughter of the late Charles Herman and Ethel Lucy “Pinky” (Coulter) Meyer.
She was a long-time member of the First Westminster Presbyterian Church of Steubenville; was a long-time member of the Toronto Order of Eastern Star Chapter 215 where she had held several offices including that of Worthy Matron.
Jane was retired from the Jefferson Union High School as a home economics teacher.
In addition to her parents, Jane was preceded in death by her husband, Walter Thomas “Catfish” Fisher in 1998 whom she married April 15, 1954; brothers, Samuel Andrew Meyer, Rev. Charles “Bob” Meyer and Rev. Carroll C. Meyer.
Left to cherish her memory is her daughter, Judy Edmons and husband Michael and sons, S. Thomas Fisher and wife Robin; Douglas Randall Fisher; six grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren; Brothers John Michael Meyer and William Meyer and wife Jo Ann and sister, Ruth Evelyn Stevens; sisters in law, Karen, Jimmy and Mary Alice Meyer.
Friends and family will gather for visitation 4 to 7 PM Friday January 9, 2026 at the Clarke Funeral Home, Toronto.
A Toronto Eastern Star service will be held 6 PM Friday January 9th at the funeral home .
A celebration of life service will be held from 12 – 1 PM Saturday January 10, 2025 at the First Westminster Presbyterian Church, 235 N. 4th Street, Steubenville, OH 43952. Interment will follow at the Island Creek Cemetery.
