DANA ROBERT JOYCE

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of a devoted husband, loving father, proud grandfather, and faithful servant of God. Dana Robert Joyce, 74, of Steubenville passed away peacefully on Tuesday, February 17th at Trinity West surrounded by the family he cherished so deeply after courageously battling cancer for nearly 4 years. He was born October 11, 1951.

The son of the late Charles F. and Justine E. (Gaumer) Joyce.

He is also preceded in death by his brother Mark Joyce who passed away in September of 2025. Dana was a CPA for over 40 years and started his own accounting firm in 1992. Dana was a 1969 graduate of CCHS and a 1973 graduate of Kent State University.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 46 years Carol (Lucci) Joyce and his three children Brian (Jenna) Joyce, Jeffrey Joyce (Samantha), and Amy (Richie) Crowe and his three grandchildren Cade, Colt, and Clay Crowe all of Steubenville. He is also survived by his siblings Charley (Karen) Joyce, Gary (Martha) Joyce, Sandy (Joe) Montgomery, and Karen (Rock) Gilbert, his beloved in-laws Rich and Bunny Lucci and Ron Lucci, and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.

For 46 beautiful years he was a dedicated and loving husband whose marriage was built on faith, commitment, and unconditional love. Together they created a life centered around faith, laughter, and unwavering support. He was a proud father of 3 children and adoring grandfather of 3 grandchildren who were the light of his life. Nothing brought him greater joy than spending time with his family. Whether offering guidance, sharing stories, his love was steady, strong and constant.

His legacy, love, devotion and kindness will live on through his family and all those blessed to have known him. He was deeply loved and will be profoundly missed.

Visitation will be held Friday from 4-7 pm at the Mosti Funeral Home, Sunset Chapel, 4435 Sunset Blvd., Steubenville. A funeral liturgy with Mass will be celebrated Saturday at 11 am at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, Fr. Matthew Gossett will celebrate. Entombment will follow in Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
