DANIEL KOVALESKI
Daniel Kovaleski, 70, of Steubenville, died Saturday, February 14, 2026 at Trinity West. He was born October 6, 1955 in Steubenville. He was the son of the late Joseph and Virginia Zalewski Kovaleski. He was also preceded in death by his infant brother, Louis.
Daniel retired from Kroger, where he worked for 44 years as a night turn store clerk. He was a dedicated union employee who instilled his values and work ethic into his children. He loved fishing, target shooting, cooking, baking, and spending time with his family. He also enjoyed listening to music and was a drummer in the band, the Cavaliers. Daniel was a graduate of Steubenville High School, Class of 1973.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Deborah Albarano Kovaleski, whom he married June 19, 1976; his son, Robert Kovaleski of Steubenville; his daughter, Catherine (Jason) Fabian of Wintersville; his brother, Joseph (Suzan) Kovaleski of Steubenville; and his sister, Carol Fabian of East Springfield. He is also survived by his sisters in law Darlene (Al) Perko of Steubenville; Kathleen Moran of Westerville; brother in law Michael Albarano of Steubenville; and many nieces and nephews and grand nieces and nephews, whom he loved dearly. Calling hours will be held Wednesday from 3-7 p.m. at Mosti Funeral Home, Sunset Chapel, 4435 Sunset Blvd., Steubenville. A Funeral Liturgy with Mass will be held Thursday at 1 p.m. at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, celebrated by Fr. Matthew Gossett. Burial will be held at a later date.
