Brooks Yeater

Brooks D. Yeater, 87 of Colliers, WV, WV died peacefully on Monday, April 6, 2026, at home with his family by his side.

He was born on June 25, 1938, in Ashley, WV a son of the late Burley and Bessie (Morgan) Yeater. In addition to his parents Brooks is preceded in death by his wife, Nancy J. Yeater on November 4, 2009; two sisters, Betty Wagner and Iness Gossett; two brothers, Arnold and Lendall Yeater; and two children, William “Bill” Yeater and Sheila Underwood; his companion, Eleanor Marino.

Brooks was Christian by faith. He graduated from Doddridge County High Class of 1957 and was a member of Colliers Sportsman’s Club. Brooks worked as a welder at National Steel Corporation. He had a love for hunting and fishing and loved working on automobiles with his buddy Jedo. Brooks was the kind of man who never met a stranger. He was also a jack of all trades and could do anything he put his mind to.

Brooks is survived one daughter, Darlene McCasland and her husband Jeffrey of Colliers, WV; four grandchildren, Brooks Underwood, Jessica (Freddie) Wuethrich, Billie Jo Yeater and Zachary (Shelby) McCasland; great grandchildren, Benny, Lilly, and Dakota; his companion Carolyn “Kay” Ash of Empire, WV; several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, April 11th from 10:00 A.M. until time of funeral services at 12:00 P.M. at the Mullenbach Funeral Home at 669 Main Street Follansbee, WV with Pastor Tim Colvin officiating.

Interment will follow at St. John Haven of Rest Cemetery in Colliers, WV.
