DAVID COLLINS

David was born at home on Dec. 9, 1936 son of the late James H. and Edna Collins. He worked at Weirton Steel for 30 years before retiring. He also served in the military operating radar during the Cold War. He was active at local car shows and parades for many years, he loved a good western movie, and working in his garage on many different projects.

He was preceded in death by his wife Eleanor in 2023 who he married on April 27, 1960 and two sons, David and Brian who all welcomed him to Heaven with open arms.

He was also preceded in death by his brother James Collins Jr. and sister Eleanor Lassan.

Left to remember him are his grandson, Travis Collins who has been by his side helping him for many years, his brother Ernest (Maxine) Collins, sisters Shirley Doak, Maxine (Frank) Chamberlain, and Eileen Collins, granddaughter Danielle(Justin) Wood and great grandson Cade Wood as well as many nieces, nephews, friends, and other relatives.

At his request arrangements will be handled by Turley funeral home with a private service for the family.
