ELMER SANDRETH

Born September 21, 1946, in Wheeling, WV, a son of the late Elmer and Edith (Brado) Sandreth. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving wife, Rebecca Louise Sandreth; and his sister, Connie Salisbury.

Elmer graduated from Wellsburg High School, the class of 1965. He served his country honorably in the Navy and retired from Weirton Steel Corporation, where he worked as a pipe fitter. He was a member of Impact Church.

Elmer enjoyed spending time with his family, joining holiday and birthday parties and attending many extracurricular activities with the grandkids.

Mostly he enjoyed simple FaceTime with the great grandbabies and just watching them play and have fun with loud contagious giggles. He always said, “If your mom was still alive she would absolutely adore these little ones!”

He is survived by three loving children, Lisa (Michael) Simon of Weirton, WV, Chad (Jenny) Sandreth of East Liverpool, OH, and Micah Sandreth of Follansbee, WV; his devoted companion, Mary Ann Marsella, and her family; two brothers, Ronald (Sue) Sandreth of Windsor Heights, WV, Richard (Connie) Sandreth of Beech Bottom, WV; four granddaughters he adored, Emma (Ron) Ferguson, Jenna (Victor) DeCaria, Julianna Simon, Katelyn (Luke) Gorrell; and three great-granddaughters, Ava, Eloise, and Lucia; along with several nieces, nephews, and extended family.

Visitation for Elmer will be held on Wednesday, April 8 from 4-7 p.m. at the Mullenbach Funeral Home, 669 Main St,. Follansbee, WV, where funeral services will be held on Thursday, April 9 at 11 a.m. with the Pastor Kendon Alexander, officiating.

Interment will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery in Follansbee, WV.
