CLINT 'BUCK' BUCHANAN
Clint A. “Buck” Buchanan, Sr., 73, of Toronto, OH, passed away Friday, May 8, 2026, in the UPMC Shadyside Hospital in Pittsburgh, PA.
Buck was born July 23, 1952, in Steubenville, OH, son of the late Carl Buchanan and Jean (Blasko) Buchanan. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Janice (Reeves) Buchanan, and his brother Timmy Carl Buchanan.
He was the Co-Owner and Operator of Buchanan Excavating, a business that he and his wife started in the 1990s.
Buck was a Veteran of the U.S. Army. Following his service, he went to work in the local brickyards, spending many years at Dando in Hammondsville, OH, and some years at NAPCO in Chester, WV.
When he was not working, Buck could always be found in his garden or garage. He loved his Diet Coke and watching Gunsmoke with his wife.
Buck leaves behind his three children, Clint A., Jr. (Chonda Gowin), Michelle (Charles) Rawson, and Thomas (Angie Johnson), all of Toronto; five grandchildren, DJ Sayers (Jason), Carlie Buchanan (Cam Oulds), Keira, Austin and Aiden Buchanan; two great-grandchildren, Ruby and Ive Sayers.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 12, from 4-7 p.m. at the J.E. Foster Funeral Home in Toronto where services take place on Wednesday at 1 p.m. with Rev. John E. Fitch.
